Our core objectives
At the center of NIKON Institute work is localization of Research and Development Partnerships so as to inform the humanitarian and development programming aligned to the 17 areas Sustainable Development Goal. We believe that sustainable development outcomes are best achieved when power, knowledge, and resources are held by local communities. Since 2024, we are rooting for localization agenda of the 17 areas Sustainable Development Goal through Research and Development Partnerships.
Our core objectives are:
Objective 1
Provide practical tools, knowledge, and capacity-building support on a wide range of development issues to government officials, members of parliament, civil and public servants at all levels, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders committed to advancing national development priorities, Vision 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Objective 2
Support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Vison 2030 in Somalia and Horn of Africa context through training, research, and knowledge sharing.
Objective 3
Building models of good practices for Horn of Africa countries in the African region through research as a vital tool to solve humanity’s challenges.
