The center aims to contribute to the development of the scientific research movement and the educational and economic transformation in Somalia and the countries of East Africa and its nation by carrying out relevant educational and economic research and studies in the field of development and transformation towards economic and cognitive progress within the framework of Somalia and the countries of East Africa, and enriching the field with the latest and best findings of research and study centers. Regional and international in the fields of education and economics, and cooperation in this regard with local, regional and international partners. To achieve its objectives, the Center carries out the following tasks:

• Strengthening common identity and values.
•  Developing governance standards in education and the economy.
• Conducting research and studies, issuing and disseminating scientific books and courses aimed at the field of educational and economic transformation.
•  Organizing debate meetings and training programs for educational job holders, workers in economic and governmental organizations, and commercial institutions.
•  Creating communication programs with competent intellectuals and thinkers in East Africa and its immediate surroundings.
• Exchanging experiences between thinkers and intellectuals in East African countries.
•  Promoting information technology in education and the economy.
• Partnership and cooperation with regional and international organizations.
•  Establishing forums for intellectuals, thinkers, employees and workers in educational and commercial institutions.
• Preparing local and regional reports.
•  Preparing frameworks and standards for educational and economic transformation.
•  Encouraging the movement of scientific research in the knowledge community in
  the field of educational and economic transformation of Somalia and East Africa
